Julia’s career in dentistry began at King’s College Dental School, where she undertook a DSA course, with a keen interest in periodontology she chose to study dental hygiene at Leeds Dental School; on graduation, she enjoyed both interesting and diverse work in hospital and general practice in Yorkshire.


Shortly after her return to London Julia began working alongside Peter here at the Scarsdale Dental Clinic where she has worked since 1991. Her calm nature, friendly manner and gentle techniques have made her popular with patients at the clinic.


Julia is always enthusiastic and keen to update her dental knowledge often attending international conferences and London dental study groups She is a member of the Association of Dental Implantology, British Society Dental Hygiene and Therapy and the British Society of Periodontology.


In addition to her clinical work, Julia enjoys lecturing on the subject of dental implants to fellow hygienists. She has presented at the Royal College of Physicians, Excel London and the Birmingham NEC. Her passion for writing has led her to write dental blogs for a corporate company and various articles for dental journals.


She is presently the ADI DCP representative where she holds several positions within ADI committees and recently been instrumental in organising a team programme for a National Congress.


In her spare time, Julia enjoys film, theatre, creative writing, photography and the gym.
